Power Issues

Obviously, the first step must be to verify that everything is plugged in.

If a power supply's green LED is blinking, unplug it from the power cord / wall and plug it back in. If the problem persists, REPLACE POWER SUPPLY.

If a power supply smells like ozone REPLACE POWER SUPPLY.

If a power supply has exposed wires or is otherwise physically damaged, ask the customer what happened and then REPLACE POWER SUPPLY.

If a power supply's green LED is not on, try plugging it into a different (good) wall outlet. If the green LED still doesn't come on, REPLACE POWER SUPPLY.

If the power supply makes a high-pitched squealing noise, either constant or beeping, REPLACE POWER SUPPLY.

If the power supply's green LED is on but there seems to be no power to the printer/flipper/laminator, uncouple the printer/flipper and laminator. Plug the suspected bad power supply into the printer. If the power supply's green LED is still on and the printer does not initialize or light up, try the other power supply. If both power supplies' green LEDs are on but neither allows the printer/flipper to power on, REPLACE PRINTER. If one power supply does not let the printer/flipper power on, REPLACE POWER SUPPLY.

When in doubt, call Clay at extension 2104.
